Contract coating is a unique challenge in the industrial coating world. In order to consistently make a profit, the job shop coater has to have a clear idea of what kind of jobs they want and how to run them effectively. They often have to be flexible for a wide variety of parts, substrates, colors, quantities, and special features. They need to understand substrates, preparation options, powder options and line density better than most OEMs and other coaters. This presentation will focus on ways to make the key decisions for efficient operation of a powder line for profit.
